I had leftover laminated croissant dough in the fridge and wanted to make a quick sweet treat with Nutella. While rolling the dough the idea of little Nutella-filled cups came to me—simple to assemble and utterly delicious. They turned out to be a delightful, indulgent dessert for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients:
Laminated croissant dough — a strip approximately 12.5 cm × 40 cm
Crumbled homemade paneer — 1/4 cup
Nutella — 2 tbsp
Crushed pistachios — 2 tbsp
Butter — 2 tbsp
Procedure:
1. Roll the laminated dough strip lightly and cut it in half to make two pieces of about 12 cm × 20 cm each.
2. Cut each half into three strips, each roughly 4 cm × 20 cm.
3. Cut each of those strips into two, giving you 12 strips about 10 cm × 4 cm.
4. Grease a muffin pan and line eight cups with one strip each.
5. Cut the remaining strips into four pieces so you have 16 small rectangles.
6. Place two small rectangles in each muffin cup at right angles so they form a cross, pressing the edges so the dough sticks together.
7. Repeat until eight cups are lined.
8. In a bowl, mix the crumbled paneer, crushed pistachios and Nutella until well combined.
9. Divide the filling evenly among the eight prepared cups.
10. Bring the four corner edges of each cup together over the filling to form a little pouch or cup. Pinch gently to seal.
11. Repeat for all cups, cover the pan and leave to rest for about 1 hour to relax and proof slightly.
12. Preheat the oven to 200°C (about 400°F).
13. Bake the filled cups until they turn golden brown.
14. Remove from the oven, cool on a wire rack and serve warm or at room temperature.
