This authentic guacamole recipe is quick, simple, and made from a handful of fresh ingredients. It works perfectly as a dip, a side, or a topping for tacos and bowls.

How to Make Authentic Guacamole:
With just a few fresh ingredients, you can have this flavorful guacamole ready in about 10 minutes.
- Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit.
- Score the flesh and scoop it into a bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- Mash with a fork or potato masher to your preferred consistency.
- Serve immediately with chips or use as a topping for tacos and other dishes.
Serving Suggestions:
This guacamole features in a “Fun Fiesta Night” video and pairs wonderfully with Flaming Sizzling Chicken Fajitas and a refreshing Skinny Margarita. It’s also excellent on its own as a chip dip or spooned over roasted vegetables, grilled meats, or tacos.
Try it with other recipes like Sweet Potato & Black Bean Tacos, Blackened Mahi-Mahi Fish Tacos, Beef Chile Colorado, Chiles Rellenos baked with turkey taco meat, or classic Authentic Chiles Rellenos.

How to Store Guacamole:
To slow browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole and keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This helps maintain color and freshness for a day or two.
Got extra ripe avocados? Make a larger batch and freeze it. Use gallon-size freezer bags and add a bit more lime juice before freezing to help retain color and flavor.

To Freeze:
- Place a freezer bag inside a tall cup and fold the edges over the rim to hold it open.
- Spoon the guacamole into the bag, then press out as much air as possible before sealing.
- Flatten the bag and lay it flat in the freezer for convenient stacking and quicker thawing.
- To thaw, submerge the sealed bag in cold water for 30–60 minutes or move it to the refrigerator to thaw overnight.

Enjoy!
